Founded in 1199, the Jurade de Saint-Émilion is the oldest wine guild in France. It aims to promote the prestige of the wines it represents and the values of sharing, discovery and handing down knowledge and tradition. The Trocard winery is a member, along with other prestigious wineries such as Château Angelus and Château Pavie.
The vineyards are comprised of four registered designations of origin (AOC):
